Bring your saxophone, music and a snack, along with all of your questions as well and we will help in any way we can.

Niels Bijl
Niels arrived in Australia in 2020 following a successful career in Europe, and has embraced a new facet of his as a performing artist, chamber musician, collaborator, project organizer and lecturer in Australia. Since arriving in Australia Niels has collaborated with the MSO, Musica Viva, Orchestra Victoria, Melbourne Recital Centre, Melbourne University, Monash University, VCA Secondary School, students at ANAM, Tempo Rubato and Brighton/BaysideCouncil. Niels is a Chamber Music/Saxophone Lecturer at Monash and teaches saxophone at VCASS.

Michael Lichnovsky
Since gaining his Doctor of Musical Arts, Dr. Lichnovsky has combined his love of teaching with performing and conducting. He has taught at the University of Melbourne, Monash University and is currently Head of Woodwinds at Girton Grammar School, Bendigo. Michael has performed with Orchestra Victoria, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and has been an active chamber musician. As a concerto soloist, Michael’s involvement in new music has seen him perform with Libra and Elision Ensembles
